Simple Truth Organic Organic Red Quinoa

Preparation Directions: 1. Rinse thoroughly in a fine strainer under cold running water until water runs clear. Drain excess water. 2. Combine 1 cup quinoa with 2 cups water or broth in a medium saucepan, bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer, cover, and continue cooking until grains are translucent and the germ has spiraled out from each grain. Approximate cooking time is 15 minutes. Makes about 4 cups. All cooking times are approximate. Difference in altitude, hardness of water and product moisture may change suggested cooking time. Quinoa is a natural agricultural product. Despite the use of modern cleaning equipment, it is not always possible to remove all foreign material. Sort and rinse before cooking.
