Cooking Directions: 1 Serving: 1 cup water; 1/4 cup grits; dash salt (optional). 2 Servings: 2 cups water; 1/2 cup grits; dash salt (optional). 4 Servings: 4 cups water; 1 cup grits; 1/4 tsp. salt (optional). To Make on Stove Top: 1. Bring water and salt to a brisk boil; slowly stir in grits. 2. Reduce heat to low, cover. Cook 5 minutes or until thickened. Stir occasionally. For thicker grits uses less water, for thinner grits use more water. 1 Serving: 3/4 cup water; 1/4 cup grits; dash salt (optional). To Make in Microwave (1 Serving): 1. Combine water, salt and grits in a 2 cup microwaveable bowl, stir. 2. Microwave on high 3 to 4 minutes; stir before serving. Caution: Bowl may be hot.
