Concord Foods Tempura Style Mushroom Batter

You Will Need: 20 oz mushrooms (2-1/2 cups) sliced; 3/4 cup of cold water; Cooking oil. Easy to Make: Makes 5 servings. 1. Heat 2 to 3 inches of oil to 375 degrees F to 400 degrees F in deep-fat fryer or 3-quart saucepan. 2. Mix contents of pouch with 3/4 cup of cold water until batter is smooth. 3. Dip mushrooms into batter, allowing excess to drip back into bowl. 4. Fry, turning once, until crisp and lightly golden (2 to 3 minutes). Remove and briefly drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.
