Casbah Rice Pilaf

Stove Top Directions: 1. In medium saucepan bring 2-1/4 cups water and 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil (optional) to a boil. 2. Stir in grains and seasoning packet. Cover and reduce heat to low. 3. Simmer 20 to 25 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Fluff pilaf lightly with a fork before serving. Enjoy! Microwave Directions: Microwave ovens vary, adjust time as needed. 1. In a 1-1/2 - quart microwaveable casserole dish, combine grains and seasoning packet with 2-1/4 cups water and 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil (optional). 2. Cover and microwave on high for 6-8 minutes or until boiling. 3. Remove from oven, stir, cover and microwave on high for 10-13 minutes, or until all liquid is absorbed. 4. Remove from oven, stir, cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff pilaf with a fork. Enjoy!
